New Policy-Electronic Participation in School Board Meetings
In accordance with new State legislation, the LPSD Board of Education is reviewing a draft version of policy BEAA-Electronic Participation in School Board Meetings, for consideration for approval at the December school board meeting.

LEWIS-PALMER SCHOOL DISTRICT BOARD OF EDUCATION
DIRECTOR DISTRICT NO. 1 VACANCY
The Lewis-Palmer School District Board of Education is accepting applications for a Board vacancy in Director District 1.
The Board will accept completed applications through Wednesday, December 11, 2013. The complete application should include a letter of intent, a resume, and written answers to a questionnaire. A qualified applicant must be resident of Director District 1 (link to map) and a registered voter in the Lewis-Palmer School District for at least 12 consecutive months prior to appointment.
All applications must be received in the Superintendent’s office by 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 11, 2013. They may be hand delivered to 146 Jefferson Street or mailed to Lewis-Palmer Board of Education, Attention: District 1 Applications, P.O. Box 40, Monument, CO 80132. The Board will interview prospective candidates at a special public meeting to be convened on Friday, December 13, or Saturday, December 14, 2013. Call 481-9546 for more information.
State law provides for the Board of Education to appoint a new member after posting the vacancy and conducting public interviews of applicants. An appointment must be made within 60 days after the vacancy has occurred. The appointee will serve until the next regular school biennial election is conducted in November, 2015.
